Assessment Types

Flipick LMS supports the following assessment types

Practice Tests: These tests can be built on a selected number of topics from the curriculum. There is no timer attached to complete the test.
Mock Exam Tests: Assessments are used to practice for competitive entrance exams for pre-engineering and medicine. Each of these exams has a pattern with number of sections, questions in each section, marks for correct and wrong answers, complexity levels and spread of questions across topics from the curriculum. Students practice for such mock tests with the same user experience as in the final exam
Graded Exams: These are actual exams being conducted on the Flipick LMS. They are built using question banks and exam patterns. The marks are updated in the student grade book in the LMS. Examples of these exams include institute level tests, corporate assessments as well as bank professionals appearing for their certification exams.
Level Placement Test: These are diagnostic tests conducted before the student is on-boarded. It tests the knowledge and skill levels to determine the level at which the student should be on-boarded.
Level Progress Tests: There are multiple tests conducted during the course. As a part of curriculum linked to the unit, at the course level or for level determination. A typical level could have multiple modules. Such level determination tests are conducted when the student has completed all modules in a level.

Marking System

Marks can be allocated to a question in a configurable manner. There are options for marks for a correct answer, negative marks for wrong answer and weighted marks for questions that can have multiple answer choices

Results of the assessment

LMS infrastructure provides question bank management for large institutes. It is easy to build structured assessments with a choice of questions from the bank.

For practice test, the answers can be given at the submission of each question or provided at the end of the test. Other result parameters could include
Student registration on e-commerce sign up
Marks and scores in % at each section and over all exam level
Correct answers
Solution for the problem
Video solution for the problem
For mock tests and exam grade tests, it is possible to
Schedule the results – do not provide results, provide immediately after the assessment or specific number of days after the assessment
Provide marks, % score, percentile and rank

Question Bank Management

LMS infrastructure provides question bank management for large institutes. It is easy to build structured assessments with a choice of questions from the bank.

Support for multiple question banks
Questions can be of different types – Multiple choice with one correct answer, multiple choice with multiple correct answers, fill in the blank, integer based answers, matrix type questions, passage based where a single passage is applicable for multiple questions
Each question within the question bank has supported metadata including subject, unit, chapter and topic. Other metadata includes complexity level, question type, bloom level, applicability to multiple exams and its occurrence in past exams.
Ability to upload Excel based question bank. A mapping table that allows mapping of excel columns to internal database fields of the question bank
Each question can also carry suggested marks. These are over-ridden by marks in the exam pattern it is used in building the assessment

Exam Pattern Template

Competitive and internal exam may have a specific pattern. This could include
