This Policy explains how Flipick collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use our websites and Service. We comply with the DPDP Act, 2023 and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR.

For personal data of our own users (account holders and website visitors), Flipick is the controller / Data Fiduciary. For Recipient Data that Customers upload to personalize and distribute video, the Customer is the controller / Data Fiduciary and Flipick acts as a processor / Data Processor on the Customer's instructions.

We determine how account and usage data is processed for account holders and website visitors.
Customer is the controller
You control Recipient Data. Flipick processes it only on your documented instructions to provide the Service.
Personal data we collect
How we use personal data
- Provide, operate and secure the Service;
- Generate, personalize and deliver video, and produce proof analytics;
- Verify viewers where authentication is enabled;
- Manage billing, accounts and support;
- Prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations; and
- Troubleshoot and improve the Service.
Legal bases
We process personal data on one or more lawful bases: your consent; performance of a contract; compliance with legal obligations; and our legitimate interests (such as securing and improving the Service). Under the DPDP Act, we process personal data for lawful purposes with your consent or other permitted legitimate uses.
How AI processing works
Generated Output is produced by AI models from your inputs. Inputs are processed to create your output. Generated Output may not be unique and should be reviewed before use.
Sharing and sub-processors
We share personal data with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf (cloud hosting, AI model providers, messaging/email/WhatsApp delivery, analytics, and payment);
- Customers (for Recipient Data they control);
- Authorities where required by law; and
- Parties to a corporate transaction.
We require processors to protect personal data. A current list of sub-processors is available on request.
International transfers
We may process data outside your country. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards for such transfers in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate or legal purposes, after which we delete or anonymise it. Recipient Data is retained per the Customer's instructions.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures such as encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction, completion, updating or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. The DPDP Act also provides a right to nominate; the GDPR additionally provides rights to portability and to object.

Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect children's personal data.
